Baby Day event organized by WSC-AR representatives in Hayward, CA

Parmjit Singh a WSC-AR board member led and organized a unique event in Hayward, CA on January 25, 2015.
This event has been running for the last several years and celebrated to empower young Sikh girls and also educate Sikhs against female feticide, encourage young girls towards Sikhi, inspire and encourage young Sikh boys, celebrate those Sikhs who look after their elderly and infirm with due respect within their own homes among other things.
This very creative event started by Parmjit Singh and his local Sikh colleagues is a novel way of bringing Sikhi back to the young. Sarbjit Singh also a WSC-AR board member was specially invited as a chief guest from Los Angeles, CA to preside over the function. He did highlight some of the work done by WSC-AR and congratulated the audience for their passionate promotion of Sikh values during the function.
The venue was attended by over 250 Sikhs and broadcast live by Global Punjab TV with audiences as far as Punjab watching it live. Further three special awards were given to Simranjit Singh (Mann), Prof.Gurtej Singh and Jathedar Balwant Singh Nangarh for their contribution to the Sikh nation. Also fifty appreciation awards were given out to area Sikhs and twenty five certificates to inspiring Sikh children.
