WSC-AR participates in Disaster Teams caring for Sikh victims in case of Disaste

Joseph’s Network, Disaster Preparedness Summit, American Red Cross and the Faith Alliance of Metro Atlanta, introduced several agencies that participate in caring for victims of any kind of disaster in a four hour program held at The Temple, 1589 Peachtree St NE , Atlanta, GA 30309.
In the last two hours of the program, interfaith speakers representing the following faiths – Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Mormon, and Sikhs – spoke about their respective religions. Each speaker covered basic principles of their faith and the important information for the caregivers to know when assisting victims during a disaster.
Several faith communities and the sponsoring organizations attended the event. Gulbarg Singh, who is also the chairperson of WSC-AR, represented the Sikh Faith at the event and also spoke on the topic.
