Representatives of the Sikh Sabha Gurdwara, a longtime institutional member of the American Sikh Council held its annual Sikh Youth Symposium, a public speaking competition to encourage Sikh children to learn about their proud religious heritage while inculcating the confidence and all the related skills to speak in front of an audience on Saturday March 21, 2015. Children starting from the ages of six to seventeen participated in four separate age categories to compete against their peers, speaking in English as well as Punjabi to impress the judges. All the children put in a tremendous amount of effort to speak at the event. Some of the younger entrants were amazing considering that it was their first time. Competitors were judged on eye contact, style, voice, diction, language, effectiveness, and delivery.
Children were awarded trophies in rank order at the end of the venue.
