American Sikh Council Board member and Chair of the Boy Scouts Task Force Sardar Kavneet Singh attended a retreat for adult scout leaders on April 17-19, 2015 at the Pine Tree Education and Environmental Center in Tabernacle, New Jersey. This three day (36 hours) intensive training included topics on dynamic leadership, effective team building, conflict resolution, risk management, innovation, communication, decision making, problem solving, project planning, leading change and much more. Nearly 20 skilled passionate corporate trainers patiently guided and trained over 30 scout leaders, taking them through the paces of furthering and inspiring the next generation of leaders in order to continue the wonderful legacy of Scouting across our nation. Also, Kavneet Singh briefly spoke about the recently approved Sikh Religious Awards by the Boy Scouts of America at the gathering including answering questions about the Sikh Faith. This kind of nishkam sewa must be emulated by other passionate Sikh adults in order to inspire the next generation of Sikhs children to become great citizens.
