Sikh Eagle Scout gives presentation on bullying to educators in Fresno, CA on April 30, 2016

American Sikh Council (ASC) representative S. Karanveer Singh an Eagle Scout, and currently a senior at Eastern High School, NJ was invited by the Sikh Women’s Alliance to address educators which included school counselors and bullying specialists, from the Central Unified School District of greater Fresno (CA) to address the issue- bullying of Sikh American children in schools.

S.Karanveer Singh is the author of ‘Bullying of Sikh American Children – Through the Eyes of a Sikh American High School Student’, a comprehensive solution oriented book meant for all children, which was published in the early part of his senior year – Nov 2015 www.bullyingsikhamericanchildren.org .

The attendees were appreciative of all the facts and statistics provided from real data surveys collected by Karanveer in a yearlong study of Sikh American school children from a broad spectrum from across the country. Teachers and parents are becoming more aware about the book and want to use it as a teaching material and a resource tool in order to mitigate bullying and simultaneously educate others about the Sikh American heritage.
