Over 35 religious leaders got together for the meeting further interfaith dialog. Many thanks to those of you who were present for Monday’s Council Meeting where we were able to mark the 10th Anniversary of the Religious Leaders Council.  The Latter Day Saints –LDS (Mormons) are building a brand new ‘temple’ in downtown Philadelphia and the representative also gave a presentation about the salient features of the LDS denomination.  Others around the roundtable spoke about ten years of work to foster interfaith dialog in the greater Philadelphia, which has made major strides in improving religious ties. S. Kavneet Singh, who represented American Sikh Council at the meeting, stated, “Each one of us need to discuss and highlight the positive attributes of other faiths around us at our respective gurdwaras, churches, synagogues, and mosques other than touting our uniqueness within our respective faith communities. Unless we push the envelope and have that conversation we are doing a disservice to the issue of interfaith progressiveness.”
