Representatives of the American Sikh Council (ASC), S. Jeevanjot Kaur and S. Kavneet Singh participated in the Annual Interfaith Prayer Service held on Sunday November 11, 2018 at the Princeton Chapel in Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey. Speakers from the Sikh, Jewish, Muslim, Baha’i and Christian Faith traditions spoke to an audience of over 800 attendees.
S.Jeevanjot Kaur gave the prayer on behalf of the Sikhs and read a passage from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib to the audience.
The keynote speaker was the renowned Rev. Jesse Jackson from Atlanta, GA who has been honored with the highest civilian honor, namely the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Clinton in the year 2000, for his diligent work on civil rights. He was also the presidential contender in 1998.
Irene Goldman Chair of the Coalition for Peace Action thanked the congregation for their avid participation.
