Karanveer Singh is a senior at Rutgers University completing his undergraduate degree soon, was appointed on the zoning board of the Voorhees Township, NJ on January 9, 2020. He was sworn in by Mayor Micahel Mignogna, in the presence of prominent township officials.

Karanveer Singh has won several awards and accolades; ‘Young Community Leader Award’ by the Camden County Freeholders; commendation by the State of New Jersey Assembly, the Robert Packard Service Award from Rutgers University; the Citizen of the Year Award of Voorhees, NJ; the Chancellors Award from Rutgers University, Camden, NJ; the National Bullying Prevention Award 2018 from the School Safety Advocacy Council, Lawrence, MA; for his work on bullying prevention across the nation, outreach to marginalized communities of color, increasing interfaith dialog on and off campus, and being an unofficial ambassador for Rutgers University.

He is an Eagle Scout and written a comprehensive solution-oriented book on bullying prevention, which has been attested by no other than former President Barack Obama in April 2016. The book is now being used in over 37 school districts on the Eastern seaboard and also being used for AP English, AP Psychology and AP History, in many high schools.

He has held over 50 events across the nation while presenting to over 5,000 school children and training over 6,000 bullying prevention specialists. He continues to write and be actively engaged, doing grassroots work and at various other levels to make a better America for all.

Karanveer Singh has also interned for US Senator Booker, US Congressman Norcross, NJ Assemblyman Greenwald, NJ Attorney General Grewal and completed the ‘leadership development program’ by SALDEF.
