“How to assist and make a better future for farmers in India”
The American Sikh Council (ASC) continues to organize a series of conferences on the newly enacted Farmers Laws in India and its future impact on farmers and the public.
The speaker for the seventh event in the series will be Attorney Ashok Arora, who is a practicing attorney at the Supreme Court of India. He graduated from Hindu College and later studied law at Campus Law Centre, Delhi University. Ashok Arora is the former secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association (India) and a senior lawyer at the Supreme Court of India. He was the elected Secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association from 2001-2002 & 2002-2003 and was elected the secretary of New Delhi Bar Association from 1989-1990 and 1993-1994. Advocate Ashok Arora was elected Secretary Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) of India for the third time on Dec 12, 2019. He is also an author of articles and books and a social activist. Ex-Law Minister of India and former member of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, Mr. Ram Jethmalani called him the Buddha of the twenty-first century. He has also been called ‘A Monk Who Sold His Ferrari in the real sense’. He has had a career of over forty years in the arena of litigation practice, teaching, motivation, personality development, stress management, and communication skills.
