ASC representative Kavneet Singh was invited to address and speak on Tuesday September 12, 2022, to the students at the Voorhees Middle School, Voorhees, New Jersey to remember the tragic event of 9/11.

There were three other police officers, two local township officers and one a former Captain with the NJ State Troopers who also participated and shared their personal experiences of the fateful day of 9/11.

Kavneet Singh spoke about his own experience when 9/11 happened. He also talked about stepping out of one’s comfort zone to fight bigotry and hate, by becoming an upstander rather than a bystander. He stressed most all about the need for reaching out to ’others’ who may be different from the majority, yet must be included and respected in order to march to a better tomorrow. Kavneet Singh addressed over 1,100 middle school students over the day.

The principal, staff and children were very appreciative of the message that he and others shared with them on this solemn occasion.
